Temporary Position as Biomedical Analyst in Flow Cytometry

About the Department

The Flow Cytometry Section belongs to the Special Diagnostics Department within Clinical Chemistry and performs highly specialized hematological diagnostics. We work with flow cytometric methodology where we use immunophenotyping to diagnose and monitor treatments for hematological diseases such as acute leukemia and lymphoma; we also perform stem cell analysis prior to bone marrow transplantation.

We can offer you a varied and intellectually challenging job. This position is a temporary contract for 9 months due to parental leave. We are looking for someone who has commitment, initiative, curiosity, and the drive to independently seek knowledge. You are meticulous and accustomed to manual work, and should be both practical and academically inclined.

Job Responsibilities

The work consists of manual laboratory work involving pipetting small volumes, running samples on the flow cytometer followed by technical/diagnostic interpretation of results, data processing, and report writing.

About You

We are looking for a licensed biomedical analyst. Experience in hematology is an advantage. You have curiosity and the drive to develop an understanding of challenging flow cytometric results. You are a good collaborator, meticulous in manual pipetting, and have a strong quality awareness.
